Considered to be one of the most expressive musicians of her generation, Anna Savkina has been awarded top prizes in many prestigious violin competitions, including the Louis Spohr in Germany, David Oistrakh in Russia, Heino Eller in Estonia, Andrea Postacchini in Italy. She is twice prizewinner of the Sendai International Music Competition in Japan, laureate of HSBC Bank and «Gazprom» Awards. Anna has been a guest soloist with many prominent orchestras, including the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic, Musica Viva Orchestra, Virtuosos of Moscow, Ukraine National Symphony, the Wienerklassik Symphony, State Symphony Orchestra «New Russia», Symphonic Orchestra of CIS, Leonid Nikolayev Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia, the Staatskapelle Weimar, Russian National Philharmonic, and the Estonian National Symphony. She has performed with many famous conductors, including Vladimir Fedoseyev, Pascal Verrot, Junichi Hirokami, Alexander Rudin, Vladimir Spivakov, Vladimir Sirenko, Yuri Bashmet, Paavo Järvi, Mikk Murdvee, Dumitru Goia, Vasily Valitov, Jovica Rado, Martin Hoff, Leonid Nikolaev, Steven Huang, and Alexandru Ganea. A passionate musician, Anna has been a guest artist at many prominent music festivals, including Denis Matsuev’s Crescendo Festival and his Stars on Baikal Festival, December Nights in Moscow, the International Festival in Colmar and Vladimir Spivakov’s Moscow Meets Friends, Alexander Rudin’s Chamber Music Festival, Verbier Festival in Switzerland, Liana Isakadze’s Night Serenades in Georgia, Queen Violin in Moldova, and Yuri Bashmet’s Winter Art Festival in Sochi. Anna was born in Bratsk, in the Siberian region of Russia. She started playing the violin at the age of five. She showed exceptional musical abilities from a very early age and quickly became a winner of several international competitions in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, and Yakutsk. In 2005, Ivetta Voronova, President of the New Names Interregional Charity Foundation and pianist Denis Matsuev invited Anna to Moscow to participate in the first Crescendo International Music Festival, where Mr. Matsuev and the New Names Foundation presented Anna with the violin. The next year, Anna participated in the International Music Festival "Moscow Meets Friends" where Maestro Vladimir Spivakov presented to her a violin of French violin master Alain Carbonare. In November 2008, she recorded her first solo album with a symphony orchestra, supported by production company RTN Entertainment. She has participated in master classes with prof. Pinchas Zukerman, David Chan, Wolfgang Redik, Pierre Amoyal, Cho-Liang Lin. Anna has studied at Gnessins’ Special Music School in Moscow under Prof. Alexander Vinnitsky, and also at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of People's Artist of Russian Federation Prof. Vladimir Ivanov. Anna has toured her solo concerts in Europe, USA, and Asia.
