Sara Dragan, Violine & Irina Vinogradova, Klavier

Sara Dragan was born in 1999 in Legnica (Poland) and started learning to play the violin at the age of seven, under the guidance of her parents, Konrad and Alicja Dragan.

She attends the Secondary Music School in Legnica and at the same time is a student of the renowned Prof. Zakahr Bron in his elite class (Meisterklasse Interlaken) at the Zakhar Bron Academy in Interlaken (Switzerland). Since October 2017 Sara has been studying at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid (Spain), also in the class of prof. Zakhar Bron.

She improved her skills in many master classes, under the supervision of prof. Jadwiga Kaliszewska, prof. Bartosz Bryla, prof. Yuri Volgin, Stefan Tarara, Agata Szymczewska, Mariusz Patyra and prof. Zakhar Bron.

Since the young age, she had been playing the top class violins made by Andrea Guarneri, Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume and Nicolo Gagliano. She currently plays on the Italian violins by Felic Barret from 1780, loaned by the Florian Leonhard Fine Violins London (London, UK).

At the age of seven, she had a debut with the orchestra Obertas Henryk Wieniawski, and as a 12 year old, she played a violin concerto in D major by Niccolò Paganini (with Cadence E.Sauret) and Carmen Fantasy by F. Waxman, accompanied by the Opole Philharmonic under the direction of conductor Piotr Borkowski. At the age of 15, she had an American debut in the first concert at Carnegie Hall (NYC), where she has played - Violin Concerto in F sharp minor by H.Wieniawsk and The Last Rose of Summer by W. Ernst.

Despite her young age, she won first prize / Grand Prix at approximately 50 vendor competitions in Europe and the USA. As a soloist she played with orchestras such as BVG Orchester Berlin, the Wrocław Philharmonic, the Sudeten Philharmonic, the Opole Philharmonic, the Warmian Masurian Philharmonic, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Legnica Symphony, the Academy of Arts in Szczecin, the International Russian Rotary Children's Music Competition in Moscow and many other chamber ensembles.

As a soloist, she gave concerts at The Berlin Philharmonic, Rachmaninov Concert Hall at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Marcel Landowski's auditorium at the Paris Conservatory, the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin, Polish Royal Palace in Warsaw, Palace On The Water In Royal Baths Park Of Warsaw, Carnegie Hall in New York. She played in most Polish Philharmonic Halls throughout Europe and the United States.

Sara Dragan has performed at many prestigious festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg, Henryk Wieniawski Festival in Szczawnie Zdrój and the Emanacje Festival at Krzysztof Penderecki at the European Music Centre in Luslawice.

She is a laureate of many scholarship programs. She received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the scholarship program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage - "Young in Poland" (for 2013), for an exceptional artistic achievement. She is a multiple scholar of the National Fund for Gifted Children in Warsaw and the Mayor of Legnica. Laureate of "Zdolny Śląsk" the Scholarship Contest and Soroptimist International Scholar in Wrocław and Interlaken. The Madrid study sponsors the Albeniz Foundation. In 2018 she received a scholarship from the KGHM Polish Copper Foundation.

Sara is actively engaged in charitable work. She has had many concerts on charity events, a charity feast for scholarships for talented young people, the promotion of talented children in Hof in Germany, and charity auctions for children with Down's Syndrome.
